Weight loss diet tips
We all know what it takes to achieve weight loss, right? The fact is that many of us do what makes sense, but not always what ACTUALLY needs to be done. Eat less calories and less sugar; that’s what we all THINK to do anyway. Don’t get me wrong – that’s what you need to do as well, unfortunately this isn’t ALL that you need to do. Also many people are TOO strict with their diet, which results in almost no loss in weight (as weird as it might sound).
There are two huge problems that most people face when starting a diet: setting unrealistic goals and not eating ENOUGH. As weird as it may seem at first glance, most people fail their diets not because they eat too much, but because they don’t eat enough! There are real reasons behind this too. Your metabolism works by keeping the food in the digestive process. If you miss a meal or stop eating for a long period of time you are stopping metabolism from tearing up fats and digesting foods.
As for setting unrealistic goals, you can’t start hoping to lose 50-100lbs in the first week of your diet… it just isn’t going to happen. If you lose a single pound or if you even FEEL better, than you’ve already succeeded. Set weight goals that you know you can attain and you’ll be surprised at how much easier dieting really is.
Those two tips alone could save you from being unable to lose that stubborn weight. Another big thing that many overlook though is this: start your diet about 6 days through your menstrual period (assuming you are female of course), otherwise you will more than likely start craving sweets during this time.
Water is a savior with diets. If it’s not time for a meal but you’re getting extremely hungry, start drinking some water. It has no calories and will fill you up at least enough so that you can make it until meal time. Some people recommend drinking soda (or diet soda) during a diet; don’t. Diet soda can be unhealthy to your body and soda is just absolutely horrible for you.
Dieting is a big thing, but you don’t need to think of it that way. Start small and work your way into a diet that works for YOU.
